Day 1 : Santiago de Compostela - Viveiro
Santiago de Compostela is a destination for the pilgrims of Saint James. We will visit the Obradoiro square, preserved as a jewel, with its silverware craftsmen and its Cathedral. From Santiago we take our coach to Ferrol, where the train awaits to take us to Vivero. Visit and dinner in Vivero.
Day 2 : Viveiro - Luarca
Breakfast on board. Boat trip on the Eo River to Ribadeo. Tour of Ribadeo and lunch. From here we get into Luarca, the white willage on Costa Verde. Dinner in Luarca.
Day 3 : Luarca - Gijón
The train travels through Cudiller, a fishing village protected from the mountains arriving in Oviedo capital of the Asturian Principality and a city of great elegance known for its gastronomic delights and its finest pre-romanesque monuments. Lunch in Oviedo and after visit in Gijón, and impressive Asturian city. Dinner in Gijón.
Day 4 : Gijón - Llanes
We arrive in Arriondas as we enter into the heart of Asturias. We take the coach up to the National Park ‘Picos de Europa’, visiting the Lake Enol and the Sanctuary of Covadonga and Cangas de Onis for lunch. In the afternoon, we will follow the River Sella arriving in Ribadesella where the train awaits to take us to Llanes, a beautiful seaside fishing resort at the East of Asturias. Dinner in Llanes.
Day 5 : Llanes - Santander
While having breakfast, the train will arrive in Cabezón de la Sal and we will take the coach to visit Neocave of Altamira and Santillana del Mar. Lunch in Santillana. In the afternoon the train will take us to Santander for a visit and Dinner. There will be a visit to the Casino.
Day 6 : Santander - Sotoscueva
After breakfast, the train will arrive in Bilbao, modern bustling city where the river searches de sea. The tour of the city includes a visit to the famous Guggenheim Museum. In the afternoon, the train will go to Sotoscueva to admire the Ojo Guareña caves. Dinner on the train.
Day 7 : Sotoscueva - Cistierna
In the morning we will arrive in Vado Cervera to visit by coach the Canal de Castilla and view some of the Romanesque art and architecture of Palencia province: Villalcázar de Sirga, Carrión de los Condes and Frómista. Lunch in Villalcazar. In the afternoon we will visit Olmeda Roman Villa and go to Guardo to board the train to Cisterna. Dinner in Cistierna.
Day 8 : Cistierna - León
During breakfast, the train will arrive at the old city of León. Visit to the Collegiate Church of San Isidoro, the historic sights and the Parador of San Marcos. Lunch in León.
